It was not at all difficult to envision the great potential of this property from the outset. Well-loved and maintained by its prior owner, the house itself was in great condition and had an existing floor plan that was nearly ideal. Aside from cosmetic updates, we settled on some significant changes designed to improve the home's functionality. First, we removed the unsightly metal and concrete staircase, leading from the kitchen to the backyard, and canceled the exit. Next, we framed a full bedroom, closet and rear accessing hallway into the downstairs multi-purpose room; which converted the house to a 4 bed/4 bath from a 3 bed/3 bath. We then removed one of the kitchen walls, improving flow and visibility, and relocated many of the windows. Lastly, we reconfigured the master bathroom, canceling the bathtub, and creating an over-sized his-and-her shower.
