Coronet Ave, Pasadena
The decision to purchase "Coronet" was simple: it was a large house, in a great neighborhood, structurally sound, with a lot of potential. Sure enough, it just needed some re-arranging and updating to make it really special. As usual, we first wanted to create a luxurious master bedroom suite and open walls in the main living areas. With a few added structural supports, we were able to create a huge open space for the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. We stole area from one of the bedrooms to create a walk-in master closet, and combined two smaller bathrooms to make one large hallway bathroom. The house needed all new windows and a lot of work to be done to the exterior. We installed our usual wired sound system throughout and created a private outdoor seating area just outside the master bedroom for a relaxing retreat.
